1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, improve and secure the ZyDO platform. The categories of information we collect include:
Information You Provide Directly:
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, mobile phone number and password (stored in encrypted form).
- Profile Information: Optional profile photo, gender and date of birth that you choose to add.
- Payment Information: We collect payment method details (UPI ID, card details). Sensitive financial data is processed and stored securely by our payment partner (Razorpay), not by ZyDO directly.
- Communications: Messages or feedback you send to our support team or submit through in-app chat.
Information We Collect Automatically:
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, buttons clicked, session duration, crash logs and error reports.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device ID and mobile network information.
- Location Data: Real-time GPS location (when permitted) to match you with nearby drivers and calculate fares. See Section 3 for details.
- Transaction Data: Ride history, trip routes, booking timestamps, fare amounts and delivery details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Provision: To match riders with drivers, calculate and display fares, process payments and enable parcel deliveries.
- Safety & Verification: To verify identities, conduct background checks on drivers and ensure a safe platform for all users.
- Customer Support: To respond to your queries, resolve disputes and communicate important service updates.
- Improvement & Analytics: To understand how users interact with the app, fix bugs and develop new features.
- Marketing & Promotions: To send you ride offers, discount notifications and ZyDO news (only with your consent - you can opt out anytime).
- Legal & Compliance: To fulfill our legal obligations, respond to law enforcement requests and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
- Fraud Prevention: To detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions and unauthorized use of accounts.
3. Location Data
Location data is fundamental to the ZyDO service. Here is how we handle it:
- Pickup and Drop-off: We use your device's GPS to determine your pickup location and track your journey to the destination.
- Driver Assignment: Your approximate location is shared with nearby driver partners to facilitate matching.
- Background Location: We only access location in the background when you have an active booking and have granted this permission. You can always revoke this in your device settings.
- Trip History: Route data from completed trips is stored for safety, dispute resolution and fare verification purposes.
- Marketing: We may use city-level location data for localized promotions, but never precise location for advertising without your explicit consent.
You can control location permissions at any time in your phone's settings. If you deny location access, certain features (like automatic pickup detection) may not function.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- With Drivers: Your name, pickup location, profile photo (if set) and destination are shared with your assigned driver to complete your trip.
- With Riders (for Drivers): Drivers' names, profile photos, vehicle details and ratings are shared with riders.
- Payment Processors: Payment details are shared with Razorpay (our payment partner) to process transactions securely under their privacy policy.
- Analytics Providers: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be shared with analytics partners like Firebase Analytics to improve our services.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information to law enforcement, regulatory authorities or courts when required by applicable Indian law.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before this occurs.
- Safety Emergencies: We may share relevant information with emergency services or law enforcement if we believe there is an imminent risk to life or safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy:
- Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active, plus an additional 90 days after account deletion to allow dispute resolution.
- Trip History: Retained for 3 years for safety, legal compliance and dispute resolution.
- Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations (GST, Income Tax Act).
- Support Messages: Retained for 2 years from the date of the conversation.
- Device & Usage Data: Typically stored for 13 months for analytics and fraud prevention.
After the retention period ends, data is either securely deleted or anonymized so it can no longer be associated with you.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (HTTPS).
- Password Storage: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
- Access Controls: Employee access to user data is strictly limited on a need-to-know basis with comprehensive audit logging.
- OTP Authentication: Account actions and logins are secured with one-time password (OTP) verification.
- Data Minimization: We only collect data that is necessary for service operation.
- Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
While we take extensive precautions, no system is 100% secure. Please safeguard your account credentials and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Your Rights
As a ZyDO user in India, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information via the app profile settings or by contacting support.
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Right to Data Portability: Request your trip history and account data in a machine-readable format (CSV/JSON).
- Right to Opt Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time through the app settings or by emailing us.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing at any time without affecting prior processing.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The ZyDO mobile app does not use browser cookies. However, we use the following equivalent technologies within the app:
- Device Identifiers: Unique device IDs to remember your preferences and deliver a consistent experience.
- Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage data for app performance and crash monitoring.
- Session Tokens: Secure tokens to keep you logged in safely between sessions.
- Push Notification Tokens: Tokens registered with Google (FCM) or Apple (APNs) to deliver ride status and offer notifications.
You can opt out of analytics tracking via your phone's system settings (e.g., Limit Ad Tracking on iOS, Opt out of ads personalization on Android).
9. Children's Privacy
ZyDO is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account or provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us at istarlaakhil@gmail.com immediately. We will promptly investigate and, if confirmed, delete the data and the account.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements or other factors. When we make significant changes:

- We will notify you via a push notification and/or email at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
